During this year’s Design Camp, good neighbor unveiled OPEN HANDS, a photography book by Shawn Chopra and Alonzo Hellerbach. The 110-page work celebrates five years of the hands that have shaped and sustained good neighbor — from the makers and designers to the community that continues to grow around it.
The first edition is limited to just 50 copies, each risograph printed with a binding that honors the traditions of Coptic book-binding. The form underscores the book’s spirit: a blend of craft, care, and collaboration.
“This project is a love letter to the many hands that have made good neighbor what it is,” say Chopra and Hellerbach. “Each page reflects both the tangible and intangible gestures that have shaped the last five years.”
