NOW OPEN — CARPET CAFE by good nieghbor

good neighbor proudly welcomes you to CARPET CAFE by good neighbor, its second café and retail concept housed within a restored 1929 stone-clad building at 100 East North Avenue.

The two-story structure—originally known as the Heritage Building and designed by noted architect Clyde N. Friz—is also home to Carpet Company’s first brick-and-mortar flagship store. This marks a major moment for two Baltimore-born creative forces.

This partnership brings together two influential Baltimore-based brands—good neighbor, known for its globally inspired retail and café experiences, and Carpet Company, the internationally recognized skate and streetwear label founded by brothers Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem. Their flagship store will occupy the other half of the building, introducing a permanent home for their expanding world.

Together, CARPET CAFE by good neighbor and Carpet Company’s flagship will establish a new cultural anchor on North Avenue—an intersection of design, craft, skate culture, and community rooted deeply in Baltimore’s creative evolution—that is unlike anything else in the world.

CARPET CAFE by good neighbor is a fresh expression of the beloved brand’s approach to hospitality and design. The café will offer a refined selection of coffee and beverages alongside a small, intentionally edited food menu—leaner than the original shop’s, yet still rooted in warmth, craft, and thoughtful sourcing. Complementing the café is a curated retail collection featuring a rotating lineup of favorite good neighbor brands. Rounding out the retail experience will be new selections inspired by the architecture and energy of the space.

CARPET CAFE by good neighbor draws on an old-world vocabulary to create something entirely its own. The interior is anchored by custom C-Star “Nile” tiles and breezeblocks sourced from Egypt, concrete-poured counters and sinks by Lukeworks, and furniture by design icons House of Finn Juhl, FRAMA, and good neighbor collaborator Alejandro Villasenor. Custom corten grid lighting and fiberglass bench seating, both designed by Carpet Company, complete a space rooted in patina and craft.

Together, CARPET CAFE by good neighbor and Carpet Company’s flagship will establish a new cultural anchor on North Avenue—an intersection of design, craft, skate culture, and community rooted deeply in Baltimore’s creative evolution—that is unlike anything else in the world.

CARPET CAFE by good neighbor is now open from Thursdays to Mondays at 100 E North Avenue Baltimore, Maryland
