In a warm meeting between Nordic sensuality and Japanese minimalism, Georg Stool strikes a solitary pose. Georg’s DNA is characterized by its slender wooden poles and rounded edges – crafted from untreated FSC-certified oak. This version of Georg Stool has a linen cushion and braided linen strap which gives a monochrome and natural expression. Linen is a textile made from natural fibres from the flax plant. The colour of the unbleached cushion may therefore vary in the shades.

  • Care: The wood comes with no finish. If you choose not to treat it with soap or oil, use a suitable cleaning agent for wood. As the wood is untreated it may be affected by grease and colorants. For this reason, we recommend saturating the wood with soap or a suitable furniture oil to make it more resistant. If you wish to use soap or oil, use a suitable product. Be aware that the wood will change colour when applying soap or oil.
  • Maintenance of fibre wadding: In order to keep the fibres and cushion full of air, be sure to shake the cushion occasionally.
  • Maintenance of linen: Vacuum the upholstery regularly. Remember to use a proper attachment to avoid pilling. This linen consists of 100% flax and has been sanforised in production which secures a minimal percent of shrinkage in wash. For daily cleaning we recommend vacuum-cleaning the upholstery. For more thorough cleaning wash in machine on maximum 40 degrees. Please notice that the linen will become a little lighter for each wash and will need stretching while still wet to minimize wrinkles.
